So far I’ve only planned the first 2/3 of the year, because there’s a solid chance I’ll be moving in September and the thought depresses me so much that I can’t think past it.
January
4th – Stadium Schooling @ Dreamland
11th – XC Schooling @ JRF — cancelled because Murray was sore!
February
1st – Jumper schooling show @ WSS (intended classes: 2’3″, 2’6″, 2’9″) – did the 2’3″ and 2’6″ and called it at that!
7-8th – Hawley Bennett Clinic @ Sunfire (audit) & day two!
22nd – XC schooling @ Camelot (added because I only audited Hawley)
March
1st – Jumper schooling show @ WSS (intended classes: 2’3″, 2’6″, 2’9″) I was out of town
27-29th – 3-day camp @ Camelot Equestrian Park
April
21st – Murray’s PPE!

There are lots of things I need to do and buy before I can get to my first rated show. This is just a list of the things I either really, really want (for respectability at the show) or honestly need in one form or another, with varying levels of importance. I’ve included an approximate price so I have a visual of how expensive it really will be to do what I want this year.
Non-negotiable: NEED before first rated
loop gag for stadium/XC $35
better dressage bit $50 turns out I don’t need this!!
dressage show pad $40
poultice/ice tight $20
leg wraps $20
$165
Would really like before first rated
new dressage coat $100
new white full seats $80
stock tie $20
leather dressage girth $60
EcoGold Flip Half Pad $135 (got an ambassador discount)
$414
Probably entirely unnecessary to splurge on before first rated
dressage/stadium helmet $140 (got a JR8 on sale!)
new polo wraps $20 (for life, not showing obv)
new XC boots $90
stadium boots $50
$300
